By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Fu Ying at 49 Portland Place, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China to the Court of St. James’s.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal today visited West Glamorgan and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Mr. Byron Lewis).

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Ysgol Maes Y Coed, Main Road, Bryncoch, near Neath.

The Princess Royal later visited the National Waterfront Museum, Oystermouth Road, Maritime Quarter, Swansea.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Hazel Court, Sketty Park, Swansea.

The Princess Royal, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association, afterwards visited Benjamin Roberts Limited, 6 Europa Way, Felinfach, Fforestfach, Swansea.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Forest Education Initiative, this morning received Mr. Terence Mallinson (President).
