Sandringham, Norfolk

The Lord Brett (Lord in Waiting) was present at Heathrow airport, London, this morning upon the arrival of The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this evening gave a reception at St. James’s Palace for Afghanistan: the London Conference.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards gave a dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a reception at Royal Air Force Lyneham, Chippenham, to celebrate the Sixtieth Anniversary of Age Concern Wiltshire and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mr. John Bush).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Church View Nursing Home, Rainer Close, Stratton St. Margaret, Swindon, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel James Arkell (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this evening attended a reception for Afghanistan: the London Conference at St. James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness afterwards departed Royal Air Force Northolt for Switzerland.

Mrs. Amanda Thirsk and Dr. Edward Perkins are in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this morning attended a Service of Thanksgiving to mark the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People in St. George’s Chapel, followed by a reception at Windsor Castle.

The Countess of Wessex, Show President 2010, Royal Bath and West of England Society, this afternoon attended a meeting and lunch at Waitrose Headquarters, Doncaster Road, Bracknell, Berkshire.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this afternoon attended the Annual Midwifery Awards Luncheon at the Royal Garden Hotel, 2-24 Kensington High Street, London W8.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, President, this morning toured St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Cancer and Cardiac Centre of Excellence, West Smithfield, London EC1.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron, the Royal United Kingdom Beneficent Association, this afternoon received Mr. Hamish Bryce at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and the Lady Brittan upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Queen Mary’s Clothing Guild, later received Mrs. Rachel Parry upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman.
