Sandringham, Norfolk

The Queen was represented by Field Marshal the Lord Bramall KG at a Service of Thanksgiving and Memorial for the Life of General Sir Patrick Howard-Dobson (formerly Aide-de-Camp General) which was held in the Royal Memorial Chapel, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst this afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by General Sir Brian Kenny.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning visited the Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards launched Youth United and met volunteers and staff of Christians Against Poverty at Salford Lads and Girls Club, St Ignatius Walk, Salford, Lancashire.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the John Rylands University Library, the University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited M&I Materials, Hibernia Way, Trafford Park, Manchester.

His Royal Highness later attended a Reception for the Muslim Community at Old Trafford Football Stadium, Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester.

The Prince of Wales this evening held a Meeting to discuss the regeneration of historic buildings in Burnley.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the set of Coronation Street to mark the programme’s Fiftieth Anniversary, Granada Television Studios, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Canon Burrows Church of England Primary School, Oldham Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning visited the Davy Roll Company, Close Works, Gateshead, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mr. Nigel Sherlock).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon visited MKW Engineering Limited, Stargate Business Park, Stargate, Ryton.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later visited Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, this morning visited the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Unit, Headley Court, Headley, Epsom, Surrey.

The Countess of Wessex, Show President 2010, Bath and West of England Society, this morning attended an Extraordinary Meeting at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, this morning opened City and Hackney Carers Centre, 96-102 Springfield House Lofts, 5 Tyssen Street, London E8.

Her Royal Highness, Director, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, today attended a Board Meeting at One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London E14.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Concert to mark the restoration of the 1834 Organ in the Guild Church of St. Dunstan-in-the-West, 186A Fleet Street, London EC4.
