The Queen, Patron, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning visited Tower Lifeboat Station, Victoria Embankment, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Greater London ( Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (Admiral the Lord Boyce) and the Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster (Councillor Duncan Sandys).
Her Majesty toured the Station, escorted by the Manager (Ms. Janet Kelly), and met crew members.
The Queen afterwards visited Aldgate Underground Station, London E1, and was received by the Managing Director of London Underground ( Mr. Richard Parry).
Her Majesty was entertained to Luncheon at 30 ST. Mary Axe, London SE1, and was received by the Chief Commoner (Deputy William Fraser).
The Rt Hon. Gordon Brown, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her majesty this evening.
