COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived at Bangor Railway Station and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (His Honour Huw Morgan Daniel) and the Mayor of Bangor (Councillor Jean Forsyth).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Caernarfon Castle and were received by the Mayor of Caernarfon and Deputy Constable of Caernarfon Castle (Councillor Hywel Wyn Roberts).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited The Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum at the Castle and were received by Lieutenant General Jonathan Riley (Director-General and Master of the Royal Armouries) and Mr. Brian Owen (Curator), before viewing the newly redeveloped Castle Square and the Investiture Exhibition.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards arrived at Caernarfon Railway Station and were received by the Chairman of Ffestiniog Railway Trust (Dr. John Prideaux), before boarding the Welsh Highland Railway train and travelling to Dinas Station.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon at Bangor University, Dean Street, Bangor, this afternoon by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness later visited Venue Cymru, the Promenade, Llandudno, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr. Trefor Jones), the General Manager (Mrs. Sarah Ecob) and the Mayor of Llandudno (Councillor Janet Jones).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh toured the Theatre and Conference Centre and met local volunteers before viewing a musical performance.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, this evening attended a Gala at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London WC2.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning visited the Ministry of Defence, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, this afternoon gave a Patron’s Company Lunch at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later received Mr. Frank Chapman (Chief Executive of BG Group plc.).

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Lossiemouth, subsequently received Group Captain Andrew Hine (Station Commander).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later attended the inauguration of the Apricot Gallery, 27 Albemarle Street, London W1.

His Royal Highness, President, Royal Aero Club of the United Kingdom, this evening attended the Annual Awards at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon, London NW9.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later gave a Dinner at Buckingham Palace for representatives from the private equity sector.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, this evening attended a Dinner at Wentworth Club, Virginia Water, to celebrate The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Golfing Society’s Twentieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mrs. Timothy Goad).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this morning attended a Meeting at Dyslexia Action, Wick Road, Egham, Surrey.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal today visited HMS Albion at Her Majesty’s Naval Base, Portsmouth, Hampshire.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon officially opened the newly restored police stables at the Old Police House, Hyde Park, London W2.
