COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Liu Xiaoming was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Hu Pinghua was also received by Her Majesty.

Her Excellency Mrs Ana Albán Mora was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Ecuador to the Court of St James’s.

Mr Martin Donnelly (Acting Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Her Majesty received His Excellency Mr Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary-General.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for recently retired and new Lord-Lieutenants, at which The Duke of York and The Duke of Kent were present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Elder Brother and Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning chaired the Summer Meeting of the Court and attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon departed Royal Air Force Northolt for Norway and was received later upon arrival at Oslo Airport Gardermoen by The Crown Prince of Norway and Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway (Her Excellency Mrs Jane Owen).

The Prince of Wales, with The Crown Princess of Norway, this evening attended a Dinner given by Mr Jens Stoltenberg (Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway) at Lysebu.

Mr Clive Alderton, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Major William Mackinlay are in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Patron, English National Ballet, this morning received Mr John Talbot (Chairman), Mr Craig Hassall (Managing Director) and Mr Wayne Eagling (Artistic Director).

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators, received Rear Admiral Colin Cooke-Priest upon relinquishing his appointment as Master and Dr Michael Fopp upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon received Sir Paul Smith (Founder and Chairman of Paul Smith Limited Nottingham).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corps, this morning visited the Corps Museum and afterwards attended a Luncheon at Burnham Military Camp, Christchurch, New Zealand.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited Selly Oak Hospital, Raddlebarn Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Honorary Air Commodore, this afternoon visited Royal Air Force Cottesmore, Oakham, Rutland.
