His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Prince of Wales’ Committee, was represented by Colonel David Cox (former Director) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mr Harry Davies (formerly Vice Chairman) which was held at the Bethel United Reformed Church, Swansea, this afternoon.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Newcomen Society, this morning attended the Summer Meeting at Her Majesty’s Naval Base and Historic Dockyard Portsmouth and was received by Rear Admiral John Lang (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).
His Royal Highness this afternoon presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to the British Red Cross Refugee Service at All Saint’s Centre, Commercial Road, Portsmouth, and was received by Mrs Simon McCowen (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this afternoon visited the Masonic Centre at Stoke Place, Stoke Green, Stoke Poges, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).
Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park
Princess Alexandra this morning unveiled an English Heritage blue plaque to commemorate the lives and works of Sir William Hooker and Sir Joseph Hooker at the Royal Botanic Gardens, 49 Kew Green, Richmond, Surrey, and was received by Sir Kenneth Knight (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
