COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Admiral, the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, this morning received Mr Michael Cornish upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive.

His Royal Highness, Patron-in-Chief, British Schools Exploring Society, received Mr Edward Watson (Chairman) and Lieutenant General Peter Pearson (Executive Director).

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, The Yorkshire Regiment (14th/15th, 19th and 33rd/76th Foot), received Lieutenant Colonel David Rhodes upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of the 4th Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Ian Crowley upon assuming the appointment.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Fortrose Academy, Academy Street, Fortrose, Ross-shire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty (Mrs Christopher Bowen).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new archive storage facility at the Strathpeffer Museum of Childhood, the Old Station, Strathpeffer, Ross-shire.

The Earl of Wessex later visited J. G. D. Munro and Partners, Dingwall Sawmills, Old Evanton Road, Dingwall, Ross-shire.

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business (promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), this morning held a Meeting at Peter Jones, Sloane Square, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, President, Brainwave, later held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex this evening attended the Military Knights of Windsor Dinner at Windsor Castle.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Liveryman, this morning chaired a panel of judges for the Worshipful Company of Masons and the Stone Federation’s Duke of Gloucester Gold Medal Award at Kensington Palace.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent today visited Glenfiddich Distillery, Dufftown, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire (Mrs Clare Russell).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Speyside Cooperage, Dufftown Road, Aberlour.

The Duke of Kent afterwards visited Walkers Shortbread Limited, Aberlour House, Aberlour.
