Balmoral Castle

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Ricardo Luna at 52 Sloane Street, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Peru to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Celtic Manor Resort, Coldra Woods, the Usk Valley, Newport, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Mr Simon Boyle).

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Ryder Cup 2010 Welcome to Wales Dinner at Cardiff Castle.

The Prince of Wales later attended the Ryder Cup 2010 Welcome to Wales Concert at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr Peter Beck).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning visited Paul Smith, 20 Kean Street, London WC2.

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon received Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud (Chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group) and Dr Azzam Al Dakheel (Chief Executive).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later visited Detica, 2 Arundel Street, Great Court, London WC2.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, this morning opened the Dolphin Centre, a Centre of Excellence for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the South East, in Whitchurch Road, Pangbourne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).

His Royal Highness later visited Berkshire Community Foundation, Coppid Beech Hotel, John Nike Way, Bracknell, Berkshire, in celebration of their Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon opened the new campus at Bracknell and Wokingham College, Church Road, Bracknell.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, Master, the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers, this morning attended Common Hall and the Election of the Lord Mayor at Guildhall, London EC2.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Transaid, this afternoon attended a Reception at Barclays Bank, One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London E14.

The Princess Royal, President, the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, this evening attended a Dinner at Glasgow Hilton International, 1 William Street, Glasgow, and was received by Mr John Chapman (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended a Business Breakfast for British and Nigerian Business Leaders at the Residence of the British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria (His Excellency Mr Robert Dewar) in Lagos.

His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the British Museum, afterwards visited the National Museum, Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos Island.

The Duke of Gloucester later opened the Leventis Foundation Room and visited the Railway Museum and Photographic Exhibition at Jaekel House, Federal Road, Railway Compound, Ebute Metta.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Lunch given by the State Governor of Lagos (His Excellency Babatunde Fashola) at State House, Marina, Lagos Island.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited the Department for International Development borehole project at Ajenifuja Primary School, IIpeju, Mushin.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited the Department for International Development e-susu Finance Project, Gbaja Market, Surulere, and met staff and traders.

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Reception onboard HMS Ocean, Apapa Docks, Lagos.

His Royal Highness, President, British Expertise, later attended the United Kingdom Trade and Investment Britain-Nigerian Business Awards Dinner, Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, today attended the Army Families Federation Conference at the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1.
