COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen arrived at Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station this morning and was received by Admiral Sir Jonathon Band (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire) and the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth (Councillor Mrs. Paula Riches).

Her Majesty drove to Victory Jetty and was received by Commander-in-Chief Fleet (Admiral Sir Trevor Soar) and Captain Jeremy Kyd, RN (Commanding Officer, HMS Ark Royal).

The Queen was received at the Jetty with a Royal Salute and inspected a Guard of Honour.

Her Majesty was present at a Service of Commemoration to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of HMS Ark Royal and afterwards witnessed a flypast.

The Queen subsequently embarked in HMS Ark Royal and met pilots and maintenance personnel.

Her Majesty attended a Reception with members of the Ship’s Company and their families before being entertained to Luncheon by the Commanding Officer in the Admiral’s Dining Room.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, SS Robin Trust, this morning received Mrs Nishani Kampfner (Managing Director and Co-Founder) and Mr David Kampfner (Project Director and Co-Founder).

His Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this afternoon attended a Civic Luncheon at the Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, University of Cambridge, this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, and President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, this morning visited the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Middleton Hall, near Llanarthney, Carmarthenshire, to mark the Tenth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (the Hon Robin Lewis).

His Royal Highness, Honorary Patron, Llandovery Rugby Football Club, and President, The Prince’s Trust, this evening attended the Welsh Charitables Rugby Football Club John Dawes Tribute Dinner at Llandovery Rugby Football Club, Church Bank Playing Fields, Llandovery Camarthenshire.

St James’s Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this morning held The Princes’ Charities Forum at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon attended the launch of the Soldier Challenge at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning attended the Educational Conference, “Brand UK: Why British Schools and Universities should set up abroad”, at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire.

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon visited Fluor Limited, Fluor Centre, 140 Pinehurst Road, Farnborough, and was received by Mr Nigel Atkinson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this morning attended a Meeting with members of the European Union Monitoring Mission at the British Embassy, 51 Krtsanisi Street, Tbilisi, Georgia.

His Royal Highness later joined a European Union Monitoring Mission patrol to Odzisi.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch, given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Georgia (Her Excellency Ms Judith Gough) for leaders of Georgian and international organisations, at the Old House Restaurant, Tbilisi.

His Royal Highness afterwards viewed the British Council’s “Seeing in Colour” Exhibition at the Arts Academy, Tbilisi, and met members of the British Council in Georgia.

The Earl of Wessex subsequently laid a wreath at the Commonwealth War Graves in Chughureti District, Tbilisi.

His Royal Highness was received this evening by The President of Georgia.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards attended a Dinner at the British Embassy, given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Georgia for Government Ministers and Parliamentary officials.
