Buckingham Palace

Sir Nicholas Grimshaw (President of the Royal Academy of Arts) and Dr Charles Saumarez-Smith (Secretary and Chief Executive) were received by The Queen today.

Mrs Justice Theis was received by The Queen upon her appointment as a Justice of the High Court when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning received Mr Felipe Cruz (Project Leader, Floreana Project) and Ms Toni Darton (Chief Executive, Galapagos Conservation Trust).

His Royal Highness received Mr Andrew Brown and Mr Guy Smith.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Society for Nautical Research, this evening attended a Centenary Reception and Book Launch at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning held a Start Partners Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr Neil MacGregor (Director of the British Museum).

The Prince of Wales, President, this afternoon attended a Conference for The Prince’s Regeneration Trust and Local Government Association at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Antarctic Winter Crossing Expedition 2010, later received Sir Ranulph Fiennes (Explorer).

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, received Mrs Cheryl Cole (the Cheryl Cole Foundation).

His Royal Highness, President, afterwards held a Meeting for Prime at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Member, Tetbury Evening Women’s Institute, this morning visited the Women’s Institute educational headquarters, Denman College, New Road, Marcham, Abingdon, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Police Rehabilitation Centre, Flint House, Reading Road, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this morning opened Norbert Dentressangle Logistics site at Centurion Park, Tamworth, and was received by Colonel Michael Beatty (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this afternoon visited Lowlands Farm, Old Warwick Road, Shrewley, and was received by Mr Hamish Gray-Cheape (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire).

The Princess Royal later opened the new Headquarters of the British Horse Society at Abbey Park, Stareton, Kenilworth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Martin Dunne).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Academy Schools, this morning received Ms Eliza Bonham-Carter (Curator), Ms Jane Marriot (Director of Development, Royal Academy of Arts), and Mr David Chipperfield and Mr Andrew Philips (David Chipperfield Architects).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, the Friends of St Paul’s Cathedral, today received Mr Roger Walkinton (Secretary).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Astrium Limited, Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (the Countess of Verulam).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Glinwell Nurseries, Station Road, Smallford, St Albans.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, President, Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, this afternoon received Rear Admiral Richard Irwin at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Colin Field upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, University College London Cancer Institute Research Trust, received Mr Richard Sutton-Mattocks upon assuming his appointment as Chairman.
