COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, University of Cambridge, this afternoon attended the plaque unveiling of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies, the Old Schools, Trinity Lane, Cambridge.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Cambridge, afterwards attended the Guild of Benefactors’ Ceremony and Dinner at the Senate House, Kings Parade, Cambridge.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Zef Mazi at 33 St George’s Drive, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Albania to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, the Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness afterwards received the Hon Albert Gore (Chairman, Generation Investment) and Mr Marc Bolland (Chief Executive, Marks and Spencer Plc).

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, later attended the United Kingdom Finals of the Celebrate Success Awards at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, London WC2.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, this evening held a Climatewise Report Back Meeting and Reception at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Covent Garden Academy of Flowers, 9 Slingsby Place, Covent Garden, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness later visited Brookside Primary School, Perth Avenue, Hayes, Middlesex, and launched Pfeg’s My Money Week 2011 competition and was received by Wing Commander Edna Partridge (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning visited Whitgift School, Haling Park, South Croydon, Surrey.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Tall Ships Youth Trust, this afternoon received Mr J. Lennox (Chairman) and Ms Christine Law (Chief Executive).

The Duke of York, Patron, Attend, received Mr Richard Harries (Chairman designate) and Mr David Wood (Chief Executive).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, received Mr Iain Gray (Chief Executive, Technology Strategy Board).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex this morning attended a Reception for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Bishop Michael Eldon High School, Freeport, and was received by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas (His Excellency Sir Arthur Foulkes).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Government House, Nassau.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex later departed the Bahamas for the United Kingdom.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), this morning received Sir Moir Lockhead upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Mr Peter Hendy upon assuming the appointment.

Mr Stephen Agg (Chief Executive) was present.

Her Royal Highness, Past President, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, later presented The Princess Royal Award at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, subsequently attended a Board Meeting at 60 Charlotte Street, London W1.

Her Royal Highness, Warden, this evening attended a Dinner at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Duffus, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Moray (Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston).

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited Hereford College of Arts, Folly Lane, Hereford, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (the Countess of Darnley).

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited the Community Project in St Peter’s Church, Peterchurch, Herefordshire.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited M and M Direct Limited, Clinton Road, Leominster, Herefordshire.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Greenwich Foundation, this evening attended a Reception at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Colonel Cyril Young (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited Robin Clarke Windsor Chairs and Furniture, Brockmanton, Leominster.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Megan Baker House, Moreton Eye, Leominster.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, this morning attended a Lecture given by General David Petraeus at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies,Whitehall, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Surrey, this evening attended a “New Era for Higher Education” Reception for University Chancellors at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, 1 Parliament Square, London SW1.

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, this evening attended a Dinner at St James’s Palace.
