COURT CIRCULAR
Buckingham Palace
Mr Neil MacGregor was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Order of Merit.
The Lord Fellowes (Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit) was in attendance.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr James Watt (the Arab Republic of Egypt) and Mrs Karen Wolstenholme (the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea).
Mrs Watt was also received by Her Majesty.
Mr Peter Jones was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning visited the Hampshire Operating Authority, Tile Barn Outdoor Centre, Church Lane, Brockenhurst, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).

The Duke of York, Patron, this afternoon visited the Place (Contemporary Dance Trust), 17 Duke’s Road, London WC1.
Kensington Palace
The Duchess of Gloucester this morning embarked in HMS Gloucester at Spithead in the Solent and afterwards presented the Destroyer Effectiveness Trophy to the Ship.
Her Royal Highness later travelled to Portsmouth and disembarked HMS Gloucester before meeting the Ship’s families.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent this morning visited the British Antique Dealers Association Antiques and Fine Art Fair at the Duke of York Square, London SW3.
