Windsor Castle

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening attended a performance of Betty Blue Eyes in aid of the Colonel’s Fund at Novello Theatre, Aldwych, London WC2.

St James’s Palace

Prince William of Wales this morning opened Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, Darwen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge (Fields in Trust), this afternoon visited Witton Country Park, Blackburn-with-Darwen, Lancashire.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened the renovated facilities at the Lincolnshire Prime Meat Company, the Abattoir, Heath Road, Skegness, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Anthony Worth).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Bell Brothers Nurseries Limited, Lowlands Road, Benington, Boston, Lincolnshire, to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Princess Royal afterwards opened Butterfly Hospice Trust, Rowan Way, Boston.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Boston Stump Restoration and Development Appeal, later attended a reception at St Botolph’s Parish Church, Wormgate, Boston.

Thatched House Lodge Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited St John’s Hospice, Slyne Road, Lancaster, and was received by Mr Rodney Swarbrick (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire).

Her Royal Highness later visited CancerCare, Slynedales’ Centre, Slyne Road.

Princess Alexandra this evening attended an Honorary Fellowship Dinner at Lancaster University, Bailrigg, Lancaster.
