COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived at Alnmouth Railway Station and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland (the Duchess of Northumberland).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Alnwick Youth Hostel, Green Batt, Alnwick, and were received by the Chair of Alnwick Community Development Trust (Ms Carys Thomas) and Mr Geoffrey Watson (Manager).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh toured the Hostel, escorted by the Chair and the Manager, and met trustees, staff and managers, and teachers and students from Northumberland Academy and the Duchess’s Community High School.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, subsequently opened the Hostel.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards attended a Reception for volunteers and carers in the gardens of Alnwick Castle and were received by the Duke of Northumberland.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were entertained to Luncheon at Alnwick Castle this afternoon by the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later walked through Alnwick town centre.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, University of Cambridge, this afternoon visited Robinson College, Cambridge.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Cambridge, was entertained to Dinner this evening at Trinity College, Cambridge.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, the Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, later held a Meeting for the International National Trust Organisation.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this evening attended a Reception at St James’s Palace for Friends of the Trust.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championship Meeting at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning visited F. G. Wilson (Engineering) Limited, Old Glenarm Road, Larne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim (Mrs Joan Christie).

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Lunch given by Invest Northern Ireland at the Island Civic Centre, the Island, Lisburn, County Antrim.

The Duke of York afterwards attended a Meeting with representatives of the UDR Memorial Trust and subsequently viewed the Ulster Defence Regiment Memorial in Market Square, Lisburn.

His Royal Highness later attended a Garden Party given by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP) at Hillsborough Castle.

The Duke of York afterwards attended a Meeting at Hillsborough Castle with representatives from the Northern Irish renewable energy sectors.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at Hillsborough Castle given by the Rt Hon Hugo Swire MP (Minister of State for Northern Ireland).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this morning attended a Meeting at Caves Valley Golf Club, 2910 Blendon Road, Owings Mills, Maryland, United States of America.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended The Queen’s Birthday Reception at the British Consulate, 351 East 51st Street, New York, given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for New York (Sir Alan Collins).

The Earl of Wessex this evening attended the New York Mets Game at Citi Field Stadium, 12001 Roosevelt Avenue, Queens, New York.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Northern Lighthouse Board, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning visited McArthur’s Head Lighthouse, the Isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Northern Lighthouse Board, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, afterwards visited Skervuile Lighthouse, off the coast of the Isle of Jura, Argyll and Bute.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon presented the prizes at the Annual Surrey Schools Festival of Science and Engineering at Brooklands Museum, Brooklands Road, Weybridge, and was received by Mr David Hypher (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited the Ruth Winston Centre, 190 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, London N13, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness, President, later visited Queen Alexandra’s House Association, Kensington Gore, London SW7.
