Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The President of the Italian Republic and Signora Napolitano visited Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh and The Queen were entertained to Dinner by the City Livery Companies this evening at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4, to mark His Royal Highness’s Ninetieth Birthday, and were received by Alderman the Lord Levene of Portsoken (Lord Mayor Locum Tenens), the Prime Warden (Mr. Thomas Boyd) and Mr. Nigel Cox (Clerk).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Fellow and Visitor, this morning viewed the Art Show at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London SW7.

His Royal Highness, Grand President, Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League, this afternoon held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Welsh Charities Meeting.

His Royal Highness later visited All Waste Services Limited, Old Saw Mills, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (the Hon. Robin Lewis).

The Prince of Wales, President, this afternoon held a Reception for The Prince’s Trust.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, afterwards held a Reception for business supporters.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Cardiff and Vale Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr. Peter Beck).

Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Phase One of the Cardiff Story Museum, the Old Library, the Hayes, Cardiff.

The Duke of York today visited Cornwall and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (the Lady Mary Holborow).

His Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, this morning visited Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, Helston, The Duke of York, Admiral, the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, afterwards visited Falmouth and Penryn Sea Cadet Corps Unit, T.S. Robert Hichens, Commercial Road, Penryn.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited A. E. Rodda and Son, the Creamery, Scorrier.

The Duke of York later visited Terrill Brothers (Founders) Limited, 2 Guildford Road Industrial Estate, Hayle.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Wave Hub, John Harvey House, 24 Foundry Square, Hayle.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this evening held a Dinner at Windsor Castle for the Australian Award.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Beechwood Cancer Care Unit, Chelford Grove, Stockport, Cheshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Stockport National Health Service Foundation Trust, Stepping Hill Hospital (Neo Natal Unit), Poplar Grove, Stockport.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this afternoon attended the Hallé Concerts Society “Come and Play” Concert at Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, Manchester.

The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, this afternoon held a Fellowship Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, later attended a Reception at the Opportunity International Africa Forum at the Inner Temple, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Royal Treasurer, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Reception for Members of Hall at the Inner Temple.

Her Royal Highness, Freeman and Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, afterwards attended a Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4, to mark the Ninetieth Birthday of The Duke of Edinburgh.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the M74 Completion Project near Fullarton Road, Glasgow East, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Robert Winter, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Scottish Opera, today received Mr. Alexander Reedjik (General Director).

Her Royal Highness, President, this evening attended the Principal’s Reception at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, today attended the Lawn Tennis Championships in Wimbledon, London SW19.

His Royal Highness, Patron, London Philharmonic Orchestra, this evening attended a Fundraising Gala Concert at Guildhall, London EC2.

Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron, this evening attended a preview of Masterpiece London Limited (formerly Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair) at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3.
