COURT CIRCULAR
Palace of Holyroodhouse
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon presented new Colours to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th Battalions The Royal Regiment of Scotland in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, and was received by the Colonel of the Regiment (Lieutenant General Andrew Graham).
Her Majesty was received on parade with a Royal Salute.
After the Colours were consecrated, The Queen presented them to the Battalions of the Regiment.
Her Majesty was graciously pleased to address the parade and the Colonel of the Regiment replied.
The Battalions, carrying their new Colours, subsequently marched past The Queen.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, afterwards attended a Reception given by the Colonel of the Regiment in Holyrood Park.
St James’s Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon attended a Reception for war veterans at the Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, Canada.
Their Royal Highnesses later visited the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre, Montreal, Quebec, and were received by the Hon Jean Charest MP (Premier of Quebec).
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this evening visited l’Institut de Tourisme et d’hotellerie du Quebec.
Buckingham Palace
The Earl and Countess of Wessex, representing The Queen, today were present at the Marriage of The Prince of Monaco with Miss Charlene Lynette Whittstock which took place at the Princely Palace of Monaco and afterwards attended a Banquet and Ball at Opéra de Monte Carlo.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester was Inspecting Officer this morning at the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment’s Herrick 13 Medals Parade and Regimental Day, Aliwal Barracks, Tidworth, Wiltshire.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, this afternoon attended the Ladies Finals of the Lawn Tennis Championships, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.
