Buckingham Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning officially opened the Pavilion and Stand at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, the County Ground, Edgbaston, Birmingham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr Paul Sabapathy).

His Royal Highness, Patron and Life Member, Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, this afternoon visited the Research and Demonstration Farm, Loddington, Leicestershire.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited staff and military patients at the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Mindelsohn Way, Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Norton House at Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Her Royal Highness, President, Barnardo’s, afterwards visited the Amazon Project, King Edwards Building, 205 Corporation Street, Birmingham, and was received by Mr Clive Stone (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Duchess of Cornwall later visited the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses, Westbourne Road, Edgbaston, and presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to “Walking for Health”.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this afternoon departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Canada.

Brigadier John Smedley is in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited the improved Sea Defences and reopened the Grand Pier at Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Annual Somerset Carers’ Day Conference at Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset.

The Princess Royal later opened the Fifty Seventh Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Westminster Hall, the Houses of Parliament, London SW1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Colonel, 7th Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Harper (Commanding Officer).
