Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon the Minister of Health at the Ministry.

The Duke of York later called upon the President and Chief Executive of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company.

His Royal Highness this afternoon called upon the Chief Executive of the Saudi Telecoms Company.

The Duke of York afterwards called upon Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Deputy Governor of Riyadh).

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Luncheon given by the Minister of Trade.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by Prince Al Waleed Al Talal (Chief Executive, Kingdom Holdings).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, this afternoon received Mr Bruce Powell (Master) and Rear Admiral Richard Phillips (Clerk).

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman, International Special Projects, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this evening chaired a Meeting at Buckingham Palace, and afterwards gave a Dinner for members of the Advisory Board.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Laverstoke Park Farm, Overton Road, Overton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Childline, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Fashion Show at Collingwood College, Kingston Road, Camberley, and was received by the Rt Hon Baroness Bottomley (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning attended the Freedom of the City of Chester Parade in Chester and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Catch 22, this afternoon visited the Early Intervention Family Support Service at the National Waterways Museum, South Pier Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, later presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to Cheshire Young Carers at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the Minster Church of All Saints, Rotherham and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr David Moody).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Paces School, Paces Campus, Pack Horse Lane, High Green, Sheffield.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards opened Holiday Inn Express, Victoria Station Road, Sheffield.

His Royal Highness later visited Millennium Gallery, 48 Arundel Gate, Sheffield.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, today attended a Service of Dedication for The Royal Army Dental Corps Memorial at the National Arboretum, Alrewas, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir James Hawley), and subsequently attended a Reception.

Her Royal Highness later opened Landau Forte Academy, Amington, Tamworth, Staffordshire.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President of the Trustees, this afternoon attended a Trustees’ Meeting of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences (United Kingdom Fund) at St James’s Palace.
