The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today visited Brisbane and were received at Hawker Pacific Flight Centre, Brisbane Airport, by the Governor of Queensland (Ms Penelope Wensley) and the Premier of Queensland (the Hon Anna Bligh MP).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Brett’s Wharf, Public Pontoon, Kingsford Smith Drive, Hamilton, and embarked in MV Pure Adrenalin, having been received by the Captain (Mr Brett Lakey).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by the Premier, cruised along Brisbane River and received a briefing on the flood damage.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, accompanied by the Premier of Queensland, disembarked at South Bank Pontoon A and were received by Mr Jeff Seeney MP (Leader of the Opposition) and the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of Brisbane (Councillor Graham Quirk).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by the Premier, walked to Queensland Performing Arts Centre and were received by the Hon Neil Roberts MP (Minister for Police, Corrective Services and Emergency Services) and the Hon Karen Struthers MP (Minister for Community Services and Housing and Minister for Women).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attended a Reception for emergency workers, volunteers and those affected by the natural disasters of the summer of 2010-2011.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by the Premier, afterwards visited Rain Bank Green and were received by the Chairman of South Bank Corporation (Mr Steve Wilson) and the Wildlife Manager of Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (Ms Jacqui Brumm).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh proceeded along Rain Bank Walk to Rainforest Green.

Her Majesty addressed those present and unveiled a plaque to mark the official opening of Rain Bank.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by the Governor of Queensland at the River Room.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning opened the Corner Emporium, the Mall, 85 Grange Road, Middlesbrough, Cleveland, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (the Lord Crathorne).

His Royal Highness, President, afterwards visited The Prince’s Trust Fairbridge Centre, Fairbridge House, Ferry Road, Teesside, Middlesbrough.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this afternoon visited Redcar Steel Works, Steel House, Redcar, Cleveland.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, afterwards attended the Redcar Community Summit, Coatham Memorial Hall, 7 Coatham Road, Redcar.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, later held a Meeting.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the South Essex Rape and Incest Crisis Centre, Grays, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Oakwood Place Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Brentwood Community Hospital, Shenfield, Brentwood, Essex.

The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the Essex Dog Training Centre, Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood.

Her Royal Highness later visited Writtle College, Lordships Road, Writtle, Chelmsford, Essex.

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Shanghai, China.

His Royal Highness this morning visited the offices and showroom of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited.

The Duke of York today visited the offices of Shanghai Media Group.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Savoir Beds and afterwards opened Designers Guild at the Hongqiao Furniture Mall, Lou Shan Guan Road.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner for Chinese and UK Businesses at Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal today carried out the following engagements in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning had an audience with The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone at State House, State Avenue, Tower Hill.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited the Commonwealth War Graves at the King Tom Cemetery.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Voluntary Service Overseas, subsequently visited the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital, Fourah Bay.

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence this afternoon visited the Kroo Bay Project, Kroo Bay.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence later visited Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Regent.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence this evening attended a Reception and Dinner held by The President of Sierra Leone at State House.
