The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell, Australian Capital Territory, and were received by Senator the Hon. David Feeney (Parliamentary Secretary for Defence) and the Chairman of Australian War Memorial (General Peter Cosgrove).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh walked to the Hall of Memory and Her Majesty laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh proceeded to Commemorative Courtyard and subsequently to Orientation Gallery and met current and former members of the Australian Defence Forces.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Yuri Thamrin at 38 Grosvenor Square, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Indonesia to the Court of St. James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning visited the Weavers’ Triangle, Burnley, and was received by Mr. Rodney Swarbrick (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire).

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Meeting to discuss the future of the Weavers’ Triangle.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, later visited Middleport Pottery, Port Street, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir James Hawley).

His Royal Highness this evening received representatives from Burslem Community and The Prince’s charities.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, CleanUpUK, this morning received Mr. Peter Hall (Patron) and Mr. George Monck (Chief Executive).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Unicorn Theatre for Children, today received Mr. Anthony Graham upon relinquishing his appointment as Artistic Director and Miss Purni Morell upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner for Red Squirrel Survival Trust, 58 Jermyn Street, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in China.

His Royal Highness this morning opened the Abacus Lighting factory, Shanghai.

The Duke of York today attended a Luncheon with United Kingdom business leaders at Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the British International School Shanghai Puxi Campus.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Meeting with Hainan Airlines and Rolls Royce at the Canton Club and was received by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for Guangzhou (Mr. Alastair Morgan).

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Dinner for Chinese and United Kingdom Businesses at the Canton Club.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the International Military Advisory and Training Team Headquarters, Hill Station.

The Princess Royal later visited Bunce Island.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Milton Margai School for the Blind.

The Princess Royal later visited Restless Development at the British Council, Tower Hill.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Reception held by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Sierra Leone (His Excellency Mr. Ian Hughes) at the British High Commission.

The Princess Royal later attended a Dinner held by the British High Commissioner at the Residence.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon received the Reverend Canon Christopher Rodgers (Minister, the Mackenzie Cooperating Parish) and Mrs. Rodgers.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon attended a Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Residence of the Turkish Ambassador in London.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited the Shuttleworth Collection, Shuttleworth (Old Warden) Aerodrome, near Biggleswade, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire (Sir Samuel Whitbread).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Stotfold Mill, Mill Lane, Stotfold, Hitchin.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Honorary Patron, American Associates of the Royal Academy Trust, this evening attended a Gala Dinner at the Pierre Hotel, 2 East 61st Street, New York, United States of America.
