The President of the Republic of Colombia and Mrs. Santos visited The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, today presented Campaign Medals in Fallingbostel, Germany.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning visited the Six Bells Miners’ Memorial and subsequently opened the newly-renovated Community Centre at Ty Ebbw Fach, Chapel Road, Six Bells, Abertillery, Blaenau, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Mr. Simon Boyle).

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community and The Prince’s Trust, and Patron, the Young Dragons, this afternoon visited Pillgwenlly Millennium Centre at Courtybella Terrace, Newport.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Anheuser-Busch InBev Brewery, Wilcric, Magor, Caldicot, Gwent.

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Welsh Premiere of “Resistance” at Baker Street Cinema, Baker Street, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the National Osteoporosis Society, this evening attended a Dinner and Cabaret Evening at St. James’s Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Doha, Qatar.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon the Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Amiri Diwan at the Amiri Diwan.

The Duke of York afterwards called upon the Minister of Trade (Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani) at the Ministry.

His Royal Highness today called upon the Prime Minister of the State of Qatar (Sheikh Hamid bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani) at the Amiri Diwan.

The Duke of York afterwards visited the Msheireb Properties at the Knowledge Enrichment Centre.

His Royal Highness later attended a round table discussion given by the Royal United Services Institute at the Katara Cultural Village.

The Duke of York this evening received the Minister of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change (Mr. Charles Hendry, MP) at Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception given by Shell at Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Dinner for the Qatari Businessmen Association.

The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Patron, on behalf of The Queen, this evening invested Professor Arthur Miller with the Insignia of a Commander of the Order of the British Empire at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this evening attended a performance of “Béatrice and Bénédict” at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.
