The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The President of the Republic of Austria and Fraü Fischer afterwards visited Her Majesty.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

His Royal Highness, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this afternoon gave a Lunch and chaired the Autumn Council Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Mercian Regiment, today presented operational service medals to members of the 3rd Battalion who have recently returned from Afghanistan and afterwards, with The Duchess of Cornwall, gave a Reception at Sandringham House.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, President, the Football Association, this morning attended a Board Meeting at Wembley Stadium, Middlesex.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America and was received upon arrival this afternoon at Dulles International Airport, Washington DC, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Nigel Sheinwald).

His Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, this evening attended the United States Centennial of Naval Aviation Reception at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Independence Avenue, Washington DC.

Squadron Leader Charlotte Fenn RAF is in attendance.

The Earl of Wessex, President, Seafarers UK (King George’s Fund for Sailors), this evening attended a Dinner on HMS Victory in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, this morning visited the Corps of Army Music at Hyde Park Barracks, London SW7.

Her Royal Highness, Grand President, St John Ambulance in the Priory of England and the Islands, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Healing Foundation, later received the Lord Patten of Barnes upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Sir Stuart Rose upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Grand President, St John Ambulance in the Priory of England and the Islands, this evening attended a Dinner at the Lancaster Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London W2.

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this morning attended a National Olympic Committee Meeting at 60 Charlotte Street, London W1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre, Bethesda Naval Medical Centre, 8901 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland, United States of America.

His Royal Highness this afternoon laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron, this evening attended a Reception for the American Air Museum in Britain given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Nigel Sheinwald ) at the Residence in Washington DC.

Princess Alexandra this evening presented the Torch Trophy Trust Awards at the Army and Navy Club, 36 Pall Mall, London SW1.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Queen has been pleased to appoint the Reverend Canon Glyn Webster to be a Chaplain to Her Majesty in succession to the Right Reverend Norman Banks upon his appointment as Bishop of Richborough.
