Buckingham Palace

Mr Austin Burn was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty decorated him the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

Sir Robert Kerslake was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Head of the Home Civil Service.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Intelligence Corps, this morning received Brigadier Mark Hallas (Director).

His Royal Highness, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs Jadranka Negodic at 5-7 Lexham Gardens, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Court of St James’s.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended The Prince’s Charities’ International Sustainability Unit and World Bank Meeting at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

His Royal Highness later attended The Prince’s Charities’ International Sustainability Unit’s Economics of Agriculture Meeting at the Royal Society.

The Prince of Wales this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House for The Prince’s Charities’ International Sustainability Unit with international leaders.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House to mark the launch of the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival.

St James’s Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and Laos (His Excellency Mr Asif Ahmad) and the Deputy Principal Private Secretary to The King of Thailand.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at the St Regis Hotel, Bangkok, for representatives from British companies.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning arrived in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards watched a cultural presentation in Port of Spain.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex were later received by The President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago at Knowsley House, Queen’s Park West, Port of Spain.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, accompanied by Her Royal Highness, subsequently attended a Reception at Knowsley House for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch with the Hon Kamla Persad-Bissessar MP (Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago) at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s Port, Port of Spain.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited the British High Commission and the British Council, St Clair Avenue, St Clair, Port of Spain.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Jubilee Party for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (His Excellency Mr Arthur Snell) at the Residence, Hillside, Beaumont Road, Maraval, Port of Spain.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Moredun Foundation, this morning attended a Conference at the Moredun Research Institute, Pentlands Science Park, Bush Loan, Penicuik, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian (Mr Patrick Prenter).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, this afternoon visited Edinburgh Zoo, 134 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Princess Royal, Patron, l’Arche Edinburgh “Coming of Age” Appeal, this evening attended a Reception at 2 Anderson Place, Edinburgh.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, later attended an Ambassadors’ Dinner at Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the Exchange, Edinburgh.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, this morning visited the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception for the Global Heritage Fund’s Banteay Chhmar Programme, at the Museum of the Order of St John, St John’s Gate, London EC1.
