COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The following were received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Mark Gooding (the Kingdom of Cambodia), Mr Jonathan Allen (the Republic of Bulgaria), Mr Nicholas Hopton (the Republic of Yemen) and Mr Matthew Baugh (Non-Resident Ambassador to the Somali Republic).

Dr Christopher McCormick, Mrs Allen, Mrs De Hopton and Dr Caroline Baugh were also received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York this morning visited Niftylift, Fingle Drive, Stonebridge, Milton Keynes, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

His Royal Highness later visited the Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Training Academy, Delaware Drive, Tongwell, Milton Keynes.

The Duke of York this afternoon visited De Vere Academy of Hospitality, Harben House, Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Lunch at Bletchley Park, Sherwood Drive, Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, with representatives from local businesses.

The Duke of York later received the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Mr Rafik Abdessalem).

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex this morning attended the Worshipful Company of Broderers’ Commemorative Service at St Michael Paternoster Royal, College Hill, London EC4, in celebration of the Four Hundred and Fiftieth Anniverary of the granting of their Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth I, followed by a Luncheon at Innholders’ Hall, 30 College Street, London EC4.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this evening attended a Reception given by the High Commissioner from Malta (His Excellency Joseph Sammit Tabona) at the Residence in London.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Leeds Children’s Hospital, Great George Street, Leeds, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Dr Ingrid Roscoe).

Her Royal Highness, President, Breast Cancer Haven Guardians, afterwards visited the Haven, 4-5 Gateway West, East Street, Leeds.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon visited Castle Hill School and Specialist College, Newsome Road South, Newsome, Huddersfield.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, Patron, Voluntary Service Overseas, this morning received Miss Margaret Mayne (Chief Executive).

Her Royal Highness, President, Animal Health Trust, later attended a Reception at Two Temple Place, London WC2.

The Princess Royal, Director, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, today attended a Reception given by the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, Director, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, this afternoon attended the International Olympic Committee Co-ordination Commission at Deloitte and Touche, 2 New Street Square, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Commandantin-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, later held a Grand Priors’ Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Director, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, this evening attended a Reception at Lancaster House, St James’s, London SW1.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Dinner given by The King and Queen of Tonga at the Villa, Nuku’Alofa, Tonga.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, President of the Council, King Edward VII’s Hospital (Sister Agnes), this morning received Mr John Lofthouse (Chief Executive).
