Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duchess of Cambridge, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Bands of the Coldstream Guards and The Rifles played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa, this morning received Colonel Paul Hindo (Honorary Colonel), Mr Chiko Nanji (Senior Civilian Officer), Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Mackay (Regimental Secretary) and Colonel Paul de B. Taillon (Senior Serving Cameron Highlander).

His Royal Highness, Senior Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, was represented by Sir David Davies (formerly President) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir William Barlow (formerly President) which was held in St Mary’s Church, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, this afternoon.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Meeting for Duchy Originals’ Waitrose at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness President, The Prince’s School for Traditional Arts, afterwards received Dr Farhad Farjam (Member, Patrons’ Council).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Mr. Alastair Lukies (Chief Executive, Monitise).

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning attended the launch of the Interfaith Explorers Project for Schools at London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended the Surrey Schools Jubilee Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7.

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business, promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Meeting at 7-11 St Matthew Street, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, President, Animal Health Trust, this morning Chaired the Industry Committee Meeting and subsequently the Council of Management Annual General Meeting at the Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges Street, London W1.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Corps of Signals, this afternoon received Brigadier Timothy Watts upon relinquishing his appointment as Signal Officer in Chief (Army) and Colonel Graham Norton upon assuming his appointment as Corps Colonel.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, UK Resource Centre — Women into Science, Engineering and Construction, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Dinner at the Royal Academy of Engineering, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Academy Schools, this evening attended the Annual Dinner for the Royal Academy of Arts at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, was represented by Mr. Andrew Palmer (Extra Equerry) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir William Barlow (formerly President), which was held in St Mary’s Church, Hart Street, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, this afternoon.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park 

Princess Alexandra, President, Sightsavers International, this evening attended a Reception to commemorate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee at the Royal Over-Seas League, Over-Seas House, Park Place, St James’s Street, London SW1.
