COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today continued a visit to Northern Ireland.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this morning visited the Lyric Theatre, 55 Ridgeway Street, Belfast, and were received by the Chairman of Co-operation Ireland (Mr Christopher Moran), Mr Peter Sheridan (Chief Executive) and the Chairman of the Lyric Theatre (Mr Mark Carruthers).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh joined the Rt Hon Peter Robinson MLA (First Minister of Northern Ireland), Mr Martin McGinness MLA (Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland), The President of Ireland and Mrs Higgins in viewing an exhibition of portraiture and subsequently attended a Reception for the Arts given by Co-operation Ireland.

The President of Ireland and Mrs Higgins afterwards had a Meeting with Her Majesty and His Royal Highness.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later drove to Titanic Belfast, 2 Queen’s Quay, Belfast, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Mary Peters), the First Minister of Northern Ireland, Mrs Arlene Foster (Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment), the Chairman of Titanic Belfast (Mr P. Doherty) and the Lord Mayor of Belfast City Council (Alderman Gavin Robinson).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Chief Executive of Titanic Belfast (Mr T. Husbands) and Ms Judith Owen (Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive), toured the exhibitions featuring RMS Titanic.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were subsequently entertained to Luncheon by the First Minister of Northern Ireland.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Stormont Estate for a public celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.

His Royal Highness, President, Prince’s Charities Canada, later held a Meeting at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales, Air Commodore-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Air Force, afterwards received Air Vice-Marshal Peter Stockwell (Chief of Air Force, Royal New Zealand Air Force).

His Royal Highness, President, this evening attended the Business in the Community Annual Awards, Old Billingsgate Market, 1 Old Billingsgate Walk, 16 Lower Thames Street, London EC3.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, London Contemporary Dance School, this morning received Professor Veronica Lewis (Director).

His Royal Highness today received Mr Peter Jones (Founder, Peter Jones Enterprise Academy) and Mr Eric White (Managing Director of Peter Jones’ Senior Executive Team).

The Duke of York, Patron, Young Engineers, this afternoon received the winners of the Young Engineer of the Year prize.

His Royal Highness, Patron, English National Ballet, this evening attended the Summer Reception at the Orangery, Kensington Palace.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon chaired an Alliance Committee Meeting at Award House, 7-11 St Matthew Street, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Fleet Auxiliary Association, later received Captain Patrick Thompson upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Captain Frank Andrews upon assuming the appointment.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, this evening held a Dinner for the Australian Award at St James’s Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Wallace Collection, this afternoon attended a Trustees’ Meeting at Hertford House, Manchester Square, London W1.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, President, RedR UK, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Kensington Palace 

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Lakes Leisure, Burton Road, Kendal, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Sir James Cropper).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Derwent Park Site, Broughton Moor, near Maryport, to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, North of England Civic Trust, afterwards visited Central Methodist Church, Fisher Street, Carlisle.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended the Cumbria School Games at Sheepmount Playing Fields, Sheepmount, Carlisle.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this evening attended a Reception and Concert at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, Patron, London Philharmonic Orchestra, this evening attended the Eightieth Anniversary Annual Gala at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1.
