Balmoral Castle

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Fellow, this afternoon presented the Royal Medals at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-24 George Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited The Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers’ assembly site, Rosyth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mrs Margaret Dean).

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Wessex Heartbeat, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Mencap Society, later held a Reception at Frogmore House, Windsor, Berkshire.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Lusaka, Zambia.

Her Royal Highness this morning attended a Service to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the British Council Offices, Aquarius House, Katima Mulilo Road.

Her Royal Highness later visited Safe Spaces, Community Centre, Matero.

The Princess Royal subsequently visited the Olympic Youth Development Centre, Great North Road.

Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Garden Party to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Zambia (His Excellency Mr James Thornton) at the Residence.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner given by The Acting President of the Republic of Zambia at the Intercontinental Hotel, Haile Selassie Avenue.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning received the Governor of Victoria (His Excellency the Hon Alexis Chernov).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, this evening attended a Concert at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich, London SE10.
