COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms Francine Baron was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica in London.

His Excellency Mr Park Suk-Hwan was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Korea to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Shim Hyun-Joo was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Baroness Rawlings and the Baroness Verma were received by The Queen and took leave upon relinquishing their appointments as Baronesses in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Lord de Mauley was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Viscount Younger of Leckie, the Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, and the Lord Gardiner of Kimble were received by The Queen upon their appointments as Lords in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Lord Shutt of Greetland was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as Captain of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard.

The Lord Newby was received by Her Majesty upon his appointment as Captain of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard.The Queen this evening attended The Queen’s Medal for Music Gala Concert at the Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London EC2, and was received by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Roger Gifford), the Managing Director of the Barbican Centre (Sir Nicholas Kenyon) and the Managing Director of London Symphony Orchestra (Ms Kathryn McDowell).

During the Concert Her Majesty presented The Queen’s Medal for Music to the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

The Duke of York, Patron, The Duke of York’s Community Initiative, this morning attended a reception at The Merchant Taylors’ Hall, Aldwark, York, North Yorkshire YO1, and was received by Colonel Edward York (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Yorkshire Regiment (14th/15th, 19th and 33rd/76th Foot), afterwards attended a Homecoming Service for the 3rd Battalion at York Minster.

The Duke of York later attended a dinner at the Royal Society, 6 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Debra, this morning attended the Twentieth Icap plc Charity Day at 2 Broadgate, London EC2.

His Royal Highness, this afternoon received Lieutenant General Robin Brims (Chairman, Council of Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations) and Air Vice-Marshal Paul Luker (Chief Executive).

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon chaired a Charities Forum at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Childline, this evening attended Carols by Candlelight in Christ Church Spitalfields, Commercial Street, London E1, followed by a Reception, and was received by Commander John Ludgate (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal this morning visited Black Isle Bronze Limited, 4A Balmakeith Business Park, Nairn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Nairn (Ewen Brodie of Lethen).

Her Royal Highness later visited Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation at the Boat Yard, Findhorn, Forres, Morayshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Moray (Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston).

The Princess Royal, afterwards visited Moray Arts Centre, Moray Park, Findhorn Road, Forres.

Her Royal Highness, Honorary Member, the Rotary Club of Elgin, this afternoon attended the Eighty Fifth Charter Luncheon at Mansion House Hotel, the Haugh, Elgin, Morayshire.

The Princess Royal, Guardian, Give Them A Sporting Chance, later attended a Meeting at Mansion House Hotel.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the Diamond Jubilee extension at St. George’s Church of England Infant School, White Lion Road, Amersham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

His Royal Highness today presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise to APM Group Limited, Sword House, Totteridge Road, High Wycombe.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Kiln Court, Holtspur, Beaconsfield.

His Royal Highness later visited Bekonscott Model Village, Warwick Road, Beaconsfield.
