COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Right Reverend Nigel McCulloch was received by The Queen today and delivered up to Her Majesty the Badge of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Lord High Almoner when The Queen invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Right Reverend Dr John Inge was received by The Queen when Her Majesty handed to him the Badge of Office upon his appointment as Lord High Almoner.

Mr Eldred Bethel was received by The Queen on his appointment as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in London.

Mrs Bethel was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Peter Ricketts was received by The Queen on his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning received members of the Alliance of Religions and Conservation and representatives of Chinese cultural traditions.

His Royal Highness, Subscribing Member, the Naval Review, received Admiral Sir Ian Forbes (Chairman), Vice Admiral Sir Jeremy Blackham (Editor) and Captain Peter Hore (Member).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, today received Brigadier Anthony Ball upon relinquishing his appointment as Corps Secretary and Colonel Stuart Jarvis upon assuming the appointment.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, this afternoon gave a Reception for Gurkhas at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, later held a Diary Initiative Meeting.

The Prince of Wales this evening gave a Dinner for Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Officers at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning received Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (Sir Peter Ricketts).

Her Royal Highness today visited Medical Detection Dogs, 3 Millfield, Greenway Business Park, Winslow Road, Great Horwood, Milton Keynes, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt.).

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Medical Research Scotland, this morning visited the Medical Research Scotland Showcase at the University of Abertay, Old College Building, Bell Street, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Dundee (Mr Robert Duncan).

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of the Highlands and Islands, this afternoon visited Perth College, Crieff Road, Perth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross (Brigadier Melville Jameson).

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of the Highlands and Islands, later visited Dunne Aeronautical Laboratory, Perth College University of the Highlands and Islands Hangar, Scone Airport, Perth.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Sir John Soane’s Museum, 13 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2.

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this afternoon attended a Rulers’ Luncheon, Great Queen Street, London WC2.
