The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Duchess of Cambridge, this morning visited Baker Street Underground Station, Marylebone Road, London NW1, to commemorate the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of London Underground and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Managing Director of London Underground (Mr Michael Brown) and the Lord Mayor of Westminster (Councillor Angela Harvey).
Her Majesty, escorted by the Managing Director, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Commissioner for Transport for London (Sir Peter Hendy), with Her Royal Highness, escorted by Mr Howard Collins (Chief Operating Officer, London Underground), viewed a restored 1892 “Jubilee Coach” and met members of staff and representatives from the railway community.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Duchess of Cambridge, subsequently viewed a new “S” stock underground train, and Her Majesty named the train Queen Elizabeth II.
The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Fellow, the Zoological Society of London, this afternoon opened Tiger Territory at London Zoo, Regents Park, London NW1.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference (United Kingdom), later attended the Conference Study Tour at HM Prison Leeds, 2 Gloucester Terrace, Stanningley Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
