COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of Edinburgh, formerly Permanent Master, the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, was represented by Mr Simon Robinson (Prime Warden) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Rear Admiral Sir Morgan Morgan-Giles (formerly Prime Warden) which was held in Winchester Cathedral this afternoon.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this afternoon gave a Reception at St James’s Palace to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Kindertransport Rescue Programme.

His Royal Highness, Duke of Cornwall later chaired a Meeting of The Prince’s Council at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales afterwards attended a Meeting of the Commonwealth Expert Group on Climate Finance at Marlborough House, London SW1.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner in honour of the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth (the Lord Sacks) at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning visited St Sofia Maternity Hospital, 2 Mihalaki Tashev Street, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Their Royal Highnesses later met foster families at St Sofia Community Support Centre, 21 Gyueshevo Street, Sofia.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, this afternoon attended a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation demonstration at Vitosha Mountain Tourist Information Centre, Dragalevtsi, Sofia.

The Countess of Wessex visited South Park Playground, Sofia.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, and Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Luncheon for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria in Sofia.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently departed Sofia for Romania and were received upon arrival in Bucharest by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Romania (His Excellency Mr Martin Harris).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, and Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Gala Dinner for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation at the Athénée Palace Hilton Hotel, Episcopiei Street, Bucharest.

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, this afternoon attended the Opening Day of the Lawn Tennis Championships at Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.
