COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace 

His Excellency Mr Mal Berisha was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Albania to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Berisha was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Paul Lumbi was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Zambia in London.

Mrs Lumbi was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Prime Minister of Belize and Mrs Barrow were received by The Queen.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Round Table Meeting and gave a Reception at Clarence House for Youth Social Action.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, this afternoon presented Operational Service medals to members of The Royal Dragoon Guards who have recently returned from Afghanistan and subsequently held a Reception at Clarence House for Service personnel and their families.

The Prince of Wales later received the Prime Minister of Belize and Mrs Barrow.

His Royal Highness this evening held a “Resilience and Long-term: Rethinking Portfolio Strategy” Conference at St James’s Palace, convened by The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project, Business in the Community, the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership and The Prince’s International Sustainability Unit.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl and Countess of Wessex were received this morning by The President of the Republic of Slovenia at the Presidential Palace, Prešernova Street. Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards attended a Reception given by the Mayor of Ljubljana at City Hall, followed by a tour of the Old Town.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently visited the British International School, Podmilšcakova ulica 24, Ljubljana.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Luncheon with the Mayors of Bled and Henley-on-Thames at the Grand Hotel Toplice, Cesta svobode, Bled, followed by a Reception to promote British culture and One Hundred Years of engineering innovation.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited Bled Castle.

Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended a Reception at Vila Podroznik, Ljubljana, to celebrate The Queen’s Birthday and were received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia (His Excellency Mr Andrew Page).

The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador at the Residence in Ljubljana.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards attended the opening of the Ljubljana Festival in Kongresni Square.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal this morning visited the History of Dunollie Exhibition at Dunollie House, Oban, Argyllshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr Patrick Stewart).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Northern Lighthouse Board, later attended a Management Board Meeting onboard NLV Pharos, alongside in the Port of Oban, Argyllshire.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Volunteering Organisations’ and Senior Citizens’ Day at Argyllshire Gathering Halls, Breadalbane Street, Oban.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, this evening attended the “Engineering: Design for Living” Exhibition and Dinner at the Ron Cooke Hub, the University of York, Deramore Lane, Heslington, York, and was received by Professor Sir Ronald Cooke (Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, Patron, London Philharmonic Orchestra, this evening attended a Fundraising Gala at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

Notice is hereby given that in 2014 the date for the observance of The Queen’s Birthday at home and abroad will be Saturday, 14th June.
