COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Sungnam Lim was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Korea to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Lim was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Faik Ferik Abdilesis Nerweyi was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Iraq to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Nerweyi was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

General Sir Nicholas Houghton was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, this morning held a Meeting.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening gave a Reception for members of British Indian and British Sri ­Lankan communities at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this morning visited the Poppy Factory, Petersham Road, Richmond, Surrey, and was received by Sir Kenneth Knight (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ Philanthropic Initiatives, and Patron, Action on Addiction, this evening attended a Dinner in Kensington Palace State Apartments.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning opened Royal Greenwich University Technical College, 765 Woolwich Road, London SE7, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, this afternoon received Dr William Harrop-Griffiths upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Dr Andrew Hartle upon assuming the appointment.

Dr Richard Paul (Chairman) was present.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner at the Reform Club, 104 Pall Mall, London SW1.

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, Canadian Forces Communications and Electronics Branch, ­today carried out the following ­engagements in Ontario, Canada, as part of the One Hundred and Tenth Anniversary of the Branch.

Her Royal Highness this morning attended a Reception at Residence Inn by Marriott, Water’s Edge, Kingston.

The Princess Royal this afternoon laid a wreath at Vimy Gate War ­Memorial and unveiled the Mercury Memorial Statue, Canadian Forces Base Kingston.

Her Royal Highness later attended a book launch Reception at Canadian Forces Base Kingston.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner at Residence Inn by Marriott, Water’s Edge.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended the Worshipful Company of Bowyers’ Agincourt Dinner at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, 4 Dowgate Street, London EC4.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited St. Wilfrid’s Hospice, Grosvenor Road, Chichester, and was ­received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs ­Susan Pyper).

Her Royal Highness later visited the Prebendal School, 52-55 West Street, Chichester.
