Sandringham, Norfolk

The Queen, Honorary Air Commodore, today visited Royal Air Force Marham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and was received by the Station Commander (Group Captain Harvey Smyth).

Her Majesty was received at the Weapon Load Trainer Hangar with a Royal Salute and viewed static displays, before meeting Station Officers and Airmen.

Subsequently The Queen attended a Reception in the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess and was entertained to Luncheon in the Officers’ Mess by the Station Commander.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member and Paul Harris Fellow, the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn, this evening attended a Club Meeting and Dinner at Knights Hill Hotel, King’s Lynn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by The Duke of York at the Funeral of the Lady Margaret Tennant which was held in St Columba’s Church, Elgin, Moray, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Lady Butter.

The Earl of Wessex was represented by the Countess of Dalhousie.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs David Bowes-Lyon.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford (Chief of the Air Staff).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra, this evening gave a Concert and Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, the Commonwealth Games Federation, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Princess Royal this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Russia and was received this evening at Vnukovo Airport, Moscow, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation (His Excellency Mr Timothy Barrow).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, the Royal Institution of Great Britain, this evening attended the Fellows’ Dinner, 21 Albemarle Street, London W1.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra was present this afternoon at the Funeral of the Lady Margaret Tennant which was held in St. Columba’s Church, Elgin, Moray.
