The Princess Royal, Affiliated Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Gurkha Signals, this afternoon unveiled the Gurkha Memorial and attended a Reception at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, and was received by Colonel Michael Beatty (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).
Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, later opened the new training and development facilities at Scaling Dam Sailing Club, Easington, Saltburn-by-Sea, and was received by Brigadier John Wardle (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).
