The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Royal School for Deaf Children, Margate, this morning opened the Hydrotherapy Pool, Gymnasium and Café Complex in Victoria Road, Margate, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon unveiled a new War Memorial to commemorate the care of the sick in wartime at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Tonbridge Road, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The Countess of Wessex afterwards visited the Pickering Cancer Drop-in Centre, 27 Monson Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Clock Tower Building and attended the Seventieth Anniversary of the D-Day Landing Preparations, at Harris Manchester College, Oxford.

The Duke of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, this morning attended the 23 Pioneer Regiment Disbandment Parade at St. David’s Barracks, Bicester, Oxfordshire.
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited CABI (Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux International), Nosworthy Way, Wallingford, and was received by Mr. John Harwood (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).
The Duke of Gloucester later presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise and opened the new building at Oxford Technologies Limited, 14 Eyston Way, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the Blenheim Palace Literary Festival, this evening attended a Dinner at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
