The Prince of Wales this morning opened the Surgical Innovation Centre at St. Mary’s Hospital, Praed Street, Paddington, London W2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

His Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon held a Reception for the Limnerslease Project Appeal at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales later received the Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury).

His Royal Highness received the Rt. Hon. James Murphy MP (Leader of the Scottish Labour Party).

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, today visited Maggie’s Newcastle, Freeman Hospital, Melville Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs. Susan Winfield).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Seven Stories, National Centre for Children’s Books, 30 Lime Street, Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited Laing Art Gallery, New Bridge Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon received the Ambassador from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (His Excellency Mr. Nguyen Van Thao).

His Royal Highness, Patron, International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, today attended the Education Committee Meeting at Haberdashers’ Hall, 18 West Smithfield Street, London EC1.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Wessex Heartbeat, this morning opened the Young Adult Cardiac Unit, Wessex Cardiac Centre, Southampton General Hospital, Tremona Road, Southampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr. Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness later visited the Stable Family Home Trust, Bisterne Manor, Ringwood, Hampshire.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon visited Sebastian’s Action Trust, the Bluebells, Popham Lane, North Waltham, Hampshire.

The Princess Royal this morning opened Tewkesbury Community Hospital, Barton Road, Tewkesbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Central England Rehabilitation Unit at Leamington Spa Hospital, Heathcote Lane, Heathcote, Warwick, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr. Timothy Cox).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, this morning received Mr. David Shankland (Director).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, Canterbury Cathedral Appeal, this morning received Mr. Richard Oldfield (Chairman).

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Honorary Patron, American Associates of the Royal Academy Trust, this afternoon received Mr. Christopher Le Brun (President, Royal Academy of Arts) at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Humane Society, received Mr. Richard Titley upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. John Grandy upon assuming the appointment.
