Buckingham Palace

Ms Imtiaz Dharker was received by The Queen today when Her Majesty presented her with The Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry.

The Poet Laureate (Professor Dame Carol Ann Duffy) was present.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Andrew Garth (the Slovak Republic), Mrs Emma Hopkins (the Republic of Bulgaria) and Ms Claire Lawrence (the Republic of Lithuania).

Mrs Angela Smith, Mr Steven Hopkins and Mr Mark Gee were also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Peter West was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Mrs West was also received by Her Majesty.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning departed Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz Airport, Saudi Arabia, for Qatar.

His Royal Highness was received this afternoon by The Amir of the State of Qatar.

The Prince of Wales later departed Hamad International Airport for the United Arab Emirates and was received upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport by The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and subsequently attended a Meeting with His Highness.

The Prince of Wales this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from the United Arab Emirates.

Mr James Bowden, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Lieutenant Colonel David Bevan were in attendance.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, First Story, this morning visited Holland Park School, Airlie Gardens, Campden Hill Road, London W8, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Arthritis Research UK, afterwards visited the Inpatient Adolescent Ward, University College Hospital, 235 Euston Road, London NW1, followed by the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology, Rayne Building, University College London, Gower Street, London WC1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Commodore-in-Chief, Naval Chaplaincy Service, this afternoon received the Venerable Ian Wheatley upon assuming his appointment as Chaplain of the Fleet.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, the 1851 Trust, this morning visited the Ben Ainslie Racing Office, Fulcrum 4, Solent Way, Whiteley, Hampshire.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Ben Ainslie Racing Base Headquarters, the Camber, Old Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, afterwards attended a Reception for the 1851 Trust at the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.

The Duke of York, Chairman, Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, this afternoon attended a Mentoring Day at Telefonica Digital, 20 Air Street, London W1.

The Earl of Wessex, Past Master, this morning held a Meeting for the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.

The Princess Royal, Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this morning attended a Committee of Wardens’ Meeting following by a Court Meeting and Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Spinal Injuries Association, this afternoon received Mr Jonathan Fogerty upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Ms. Michelle Howard upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Motor Neurone Disease Association, this evening attended a Reception at the British Medical Association, Tavistock Square, London WC1, to mark the success of the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, later attended a “Health and Educational Needs of People with Disability” Dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London SW7.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron, the Dresden Trust, this evening attended a Reception at the Dresden Project Exhibition at the Kreuzkirche, Dresden, Germany.

Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron, Children and Families Across Borders, this evening attended the International Child Protection Dinner at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, 2 Albert Gate, London SW1.
