COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Mr Ivan Rogers was received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon his appointment as United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the European Union in Brussels.

Mrs Rogers was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen, Sovereign Head, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, received Dr Neil Conn (Lord Prior) this afternoon.

Major General Edward Smyth-Osbourne (General Officer Commanding London District) was received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Dents Gloves, Furnax Lane, Warminster, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, today visited Community First, Beacon Business Centre, Hopton Park, Devizes, Wiltshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales, Joint Patrons, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, this evening attended the Chairman’s Dinner at Kensington Palace State Apartments.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Shooting Star Chase, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended the Torch Trophy Trust Awards at the Army and Navy Club, 36-39 Pall Mall, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Princess Royal this morning visited James Hare Limited, Monarch House, 7 Queen Street, Leeds, and was received by Mr Timothy Hare (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Wyedean Weaving Company at Bridgehouse Mill, Bridgehouse Lane, Haworth, West Yorkshire.

The Princess Royal later visited Michael Rath Brass Musical Instruments Limited, Crossley Mills, Honley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, today visited the newly renovated St. John Ambulance National Headquarters, 27 St. John’s Lane, London EC1.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, afterwards installed Mr. Patrick Burgess as Chancellor of the Order in the Priory Church of St. John, St. John’s Lane, Clerkenwell, London EC1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers, this afternoon attended a Basketmaking Day at the Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, London WC1.
