Buckingham Palace

The Queen received His Excellency Mr Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary-General, today.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the University of Wales Trinity St. David’s, this afternoon received Professor Medwin Hughes (Vice-Chancellor) and Mr Benjamin Bolgar (Senior Director, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Animal Care Trust, this morning visited Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital, 4 Royal College Street, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Street, London EC2, to mark the last Annual Officers’ Dinner of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales’s).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning arrived at Haneda Tokyo Airport and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Japan (His Excellency Mr Timothy Hitchens).

His Royal Highness, accompanied by the Governor of Tokyo (Mr Yoichi Mazuzoe), this afternoon embarked in the speedboat Limousine Boat and travelled downstream to view the 2020 Olympic sites before disembarking at Hama-rikyu Gardens, Tokyo.

The Duke of Cambridge was welcomed subsequently at a Traditional Tea Ceremony during a tour of the Hama-rikyu Gardens.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning visited Belfast Royal Academy, 5-17 Cliftonville Road, Belfast, and was received by Mr William Sillery (Deputy Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast).

His Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon attended a medals parade at Thiepval Barracks, Magheralave Road, Lisburn, County Antrim.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Butler Trust, this morning received Mr Anthony Pearson upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Malcolm Butler upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Fellow, the Academy of Medical Sciences, this afternoon attended the Spring Meeting for Clinician Scientists in Training at the Royal College of Physicians, 11 St Andrews Place, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice Royal Patron, the Almshouse Association, this afternoon attended a Reception at the House of Lords, London SW1.
