COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Calgary Highlanders, and The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (Wentworth Regiment), this afternoon attended a Reception at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, to commemorate the Regiments’ involvement in the First World War and were received by the High Commissioner of Canada (His Excellency Mr Gordon Campbell), the Honorary Colonel of The Calgary Highlanders (Colonel Michael Shaw) and the Honorary Colonel of The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (Colonel Timothy Hogarth).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, International Real Tennis Professionals Association, and Patron, Tennis and Rackets Association, today attended the Ladies Real Tennis World Championships at Leamington Tennis Court Club, Bedford Street, Leamington Spa, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Timothy Cox).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Australia.

Mr. Nicholas Marden is in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon laid a wreath at a Parade and Service of Remembrance at the Canada Memorial, Green Park, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s), afterwards attended a Reception at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, to commemorate the Regiment’s involvement in the First World War and was received by the High Commissioner of Canada (His Excellency Mr. Gordon Campbell).
