COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The President of the Italian Republic visited The Queen today.

Dr Andrew Pocock (British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria) was received in audience by The Queen.

Mrs Pocock was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Moses Kouni Mose was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as High Commissioner for Solomon Islands in London.

Mrs Mose was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

Princess Beatrice of York, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Bands of the Grenadier Guards and the Corps of Royal Engineers played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Lord Ashton of Hyde (Lord in Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the Italian Republic and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning received recently qualified students from the London School of Economics Faith and Leadership Course.

The Bishop of London was present.

His Royal Highness received Mrs Ségolène Royal (French Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy).

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Mercian Regiment, today received Lieutenant Colonel Paul Gilby upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Ben Wild upon assuming the appointment, and Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Carter upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 4th Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Lee Mulholland upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford (Chief of the Air Staff).

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Youth United Foundation, received Ms Lindsay Levkoff-Lynn (Chief Executive).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Teach First, this evening held a Reception at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Anaesthetists, this morning received Mr Kevin Storey upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive and Mr Thomas Grinyer upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, later attended the Trinitytide Anniversary Annual Court Meeting, Church Service and Luncheon, Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3, and St. Olave’s Church.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Voluntary Service Overseas, this evening attended a Dinner at the Caledonian Club, 9 Halkin Street, London SW1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, British Homeopathic Association, this morning received Mrs. Margaret Wyllie (Chairman), Ms. Cristal Sumner (Chief Executive) and Dr. Helen Beaumont (Trustee).

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra, President, Sightsavers, this afternoon visited the new Offices at 35 Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath, and was received by Mr. Harry Goring (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex).

Her Royal Highness, Joint President, later visited the Cancer Research UK Shop, 117 South Road, Haywards Heath.
