The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh left Royal Air Force Northolt this afternoon for the State Visit to Germany.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received at the Airport by the Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain), Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa) and Minister Tania von Uslar-Gleichen (Deputy Ambassador, German Embassy).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon arrived at Berlin Tegel Airport, were received by the Ambassador from the Federal Republic of Germany to London (Dr Peter Ammon) and Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany (His Excellency Sir Simon McDonald).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness witnessed a fly past by two Eurofighter Typhoons and were received with a Royal Salute.

The following are in attendance: the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP (Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs), the Hon Dame Annabel Whitehead, the Rt Hon Sir Christopher Geidt, Mr Edward Young, Mr James Roscoe, Surgeon Captain David Hett RN, Commander Patrick Lacey RN, Commander Andrew Canale RN, Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell and Mr Martin Reynolds.

Clarence House

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this morning visited Selex, 2 Crew Road North, Edinburgh, to mark National Women in Engineering Day.

His Royal Highness, President, Scottish Business in the Community, later attended a Business Emergency Recovery Group Board Meeting at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay this afternoon visited the Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market in St Andrew’s Square, Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Ms Nicola Sturgeon MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government) at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, this evening gave a Reception at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire, for The Prince’s Trust Scotland.

His Royal Highness, President, later attended an Awards Reception for Scottish Business in the Community at Prestonfield House, Prestonfield Road, Edinburgh.

The Duchess of Rothesay this afternoon visited Breadshare Community Bakery, 11-12 Seafield Road East, Portobello, Edinburgh.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Beach House Café, Bath Street, Portobello, and Portobello Sailing and Kayaking Club, 57 Bath Street, Portobello, Edinburgh, and was received by Brigadier John Thomson (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning received Professor Alexander Frino (Dean, Macquarie Graduate School of Management).

His Royal Highness, Fellow, this afternoon gave a Tea for University Research Fellows of the Royal Society.

The Duke of York later received Mr Ian Powell (Chairman and Senior Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers UK).

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Dennis Gabor Lecture at Imperial College London, Exhibition Road, London SW7.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning attended a Digital Steering Committee Meeting at Award House, 7-11 St Matthew Street, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Films Without Borders Retrospective and Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, President, the Cheshire Agricultural Society, today attended Cheshire Agricultural Show at Tabley Showground and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Association of Official Prison Visitors, this morning attended the Ninetieth Anniversary Annual General Meeting at Resource for London, 356 Holloway Road, London N7, and was received by Dr Charles Goodson-Wickes (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Catch 22, this afternoon attended a Fellowship Reception at Fresh Youth Academy, 25 Bertram Street, London N19.

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children United Kingdom, later received Mrs. Angel Ingman at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing her appointment as Royal Liaison Officer.

Her Royal Highness, Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended a Succession Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Christ’s Hospital, this evening attended a Reception and Concert at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London EC4.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Kemp Hospice, 41 Mason Road, Kidderminster, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire (Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Holcroft).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Amada United Kingdom Limited, Spennells Valley Road, Kidderminster.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited the Museum of Carpet, Stour Vale Mill, Green Street, Kidderminster.

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited HMS Kent at HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, afterwards opened the Heritage Lottery Fund project for the preservation of HMS Warrior 1860 at HM Naval Base, Portsmouth.
