Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were received this morning by the Mayor of Berlin (Mr Michael Müler) before walking through Pariser Platz, Berlin, Germany.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received later at Celle Air Base by Mr Stephen Weil (Minister-President of the State of Lower Saxony), Mr Bernd Busemann (President of the Lower Saxony Parliament), the Mayor of Celle (Mr Dirk-Ulrich Mende) and Dr Gunter Dunkel (Honorary Consul).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, Anne-Frank-Platz, Lohheide, and were received by the Director (Dr Jens-Christian Wagner).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed the Jewish Memorial and Anne Frank’s Memorial before visiting the House of Silence.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh then viewed the Polish Cross and afterwards Her Majesty and His Royal Highness laid a wreath against the Inscription Wall.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently met the Chief Rabbi (Mr Ephraim Mirvis), members of the German Jewish community, survivors and liberators, and schoolchildren.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, attended by the Hon Dame Annabel Whitehead, the Rt Hon Sir Christopher Geidt, Mr Edward Young, Mr James Roscoe, Surgeon Captain David Hett RN, Commander Patrick Lacey RN, Commander Andrew Canale RN and Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell, later departed Germany for Royal Air Force Northolt where the aircraft was received upon arrival by the Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain).

Clarence House

The Prince Charles, Lord of the Isles today carried out the following engagements on the Isle of Islay and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr Patrick Stewart).

His Royal Highness this morning visited Ardbeg Distillery.

The Prince Charles, Lord of the Isles afterwards visited Laphroaig Distillery.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St Columba Hall, Port Ellen.

The Prince Charles, Lord of the Isles, President, later attended a Scottish Business in the Community Meeting at Dunlossit House, Port Askaig.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Finlaggan Visitors’ Centre, the Cottage, Ballygrant.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning attended a Meeting of the Executive Leadership Council Corporate Board at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London SW1.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received General Olusegun Obasanjo (former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria).

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the London Children’s Flower Society, this morning visited Southwold Primary School, Detmold Road, London E5, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Morriss (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Greater London Fund for the Blind, this afternoon visited the Geranium Shop, Eltham Road, Lee Green, London SE12.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children United Kingdom, this morning visited the Wadebridge Shop, 60 Molesworth Street, Wadebridge, to mark its Forty Fifth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, today opened the new annex at Chiverton Riding Centre, Silverwell, Blackwater, Cornwall.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Hft, this afternoon visited the Bradbury Service, 1012 Belmont Road, St Austell, Cornwall, and subsequently attended a Reception at the Carlyon Bay Hotel, St Austell.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, this morning took the salute at the 96 (Duke of Gloucester) Squadron Passing Off Parade at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright, Surrey.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Guildford Fire Station, Ladymead, Guildford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, this evening attended The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys) Waterloo 200 Reception and Dinner at Laich Hall, Edinburgh Castle.
