San Anton Palace, Malta
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh left Stansted Airport this morning to visit Malta.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received at the airport by the Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain), Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre) and Mr Mario Buttigieg (Deputy High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon arrived at Malta International Airport and were received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta (His Excellency Mr Robert Luke), Mr Norman Hamilton (High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta in London), the Hon Dr Joseph Muscat (Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta) and Mr Olaph Terribile (Ambassador, Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received by The President of the Republic of Malta and Mr Preca and, accompanied by The President and Mr Preca, drove to San Anton Palace, Valletta, where The Queen inspected a Guard of Honour.
The President of the Republic of Malta was afterwards received by Her Majesty.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta was subsequently received in audience by The Queen.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, this evening attended a Reception at San Anton Palace given by The President of the Republic of Malta and Mr Preca.
The following are in attendance: the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP (Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs), the Lady Elton, the Rt Hon Sir Christopher Geidt, Vice Admiral Tony Johnstone-Burt, Mrs Samantha Cohen, Ms Sally Osman, Surgeon Captain David Hett RN, Commander Patrick Lacey RN, Mr Michael Jephson, Wing Commander Samuel Fletcher RAF and Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning departed Royal Air Force Brize Norton for Malta.
Their Royal Highnesses were received upon arrival at Malta International Airport this afternoon by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta (His Excellency Mr Robert Luke and the Hon Dr Joseph Muscat (Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta).
The Prince of Wales later attended a Meeting with representatives from the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Maltese Ministers of State and The Prince of Wales’s International Sustainability Unit, at the Hilton Malta Hotel, Portomaso, St Julians.
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception for Commonwealth Heads of Government and business leaders at the Hilton Malta Hotel.
The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, with The President of the Republic of Malta, this evening attended a Reception at the Palace of the Grandmaster, Valletta, to mark the launch of The Prince’s Trust International.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Mdina Glass, Crafts Village, Ta’ Qali.
Mr Clive Alderton, Mr James Bowden, the Earl of Rosslyn, Miss Melissa Haydon-Clarke, Miss Kristina Kyriacou, Miss Eva Omaghomi, Major Harry Pilcher and Mrs Sophie Densham are in attendance.
Prince Henry of Wales this morning arrived in Lesotho and was received by Ms Alice Jacobs (Deputy British High Commissioner to the Kingdom of Lesotho).
His Royal Highness was received afterwards by The King of Lesotho at the Royal Palace, Maseru.
Prince Henry of Wales subsequently called upon Dr Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili (Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Government Office Complex, Maseru.
His Royal Highness, Patron, Sentebale, this afternoon opened Mamohato Children’s Centre, Thaba Bosiu.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, this afternoon visited Aske’s Hatcham College, 135 Pepys Road, London SE14, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, afterwards attended the official signing for Qatar Creating Vision at the Embassy of the State of Qatar, 1 South Audley Street, London W1, and was received by the Ambassador of the State of Qatar (His Excellency the Hon Yousef Ali Al-Khater).
