COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), today received Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Cattermole upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Dominic Coombes upon assuming the appointment.

His Excellency Mr Karl Hood was received by Her Majesty upon his appointment as High Commissioner for Grenada in London.

Mr Jeremy Bagwell-Purefoy was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Dr Revaz Gachechiladze at 4 Russell Gardens, London W14, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Georgia to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen, this morning presented The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at Buckingham Palace and afterwards Their Royal Highnesses gave a Reception.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Emeritus Chief Rabbi the Lord Sacks.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting for The Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit at Lancaster House, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, later received the Chairman of Mosaic and a delegation from Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at the Worshipful Company of Brewers, Brewers’ Hall, Aldermanbury Square, London EC2.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Waddington, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Outgoing President, Cheshire Agricultural Society, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting and Board Meeting at Combermere Abbey, Whitchurch, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of London, this morning attended a Reception at Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, President, British Expertise International, this evening attended a Reception at 23 Grafton Street, London W1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Cattermole upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Dominic Coombes upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, President, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, today received Dr Karin von Hippel upon assuming the appointment as Director General.

Vice-Admiral Rory McLean (Vice-Chairman) was present.
