Buckingham Palace

The Baroness D’Souza (Lord Speaker) and the Rt. Hon. John Bercow MP (Speaker of the House of Commons), with a Delegation of Members of the House of Lords and House of Commons, were received in audience by The Queen today and presented Addresses from the Chambers of Parliament to mark Her Majesty’s Ninetieth Birthday, to which The Queen was graciously pleased to make reply.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy and The Countess of Wessex were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Bands of the Scots Guards and the Parachute Regiment played selections of music during the afternoon.

Major Jeremy Fern (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning received the Baroness Scotland of Asthal upon assuming her appointment as Commonwealth Secretary-General.

His Royal Highness, President, the British Red Cross Society, afterwards visited the Refugee Support Centre, Aztec Row, 5 Berners Road, London N1, and was received by Dr. Charles Goodson-Wickes (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Prince of Wales, President, Victoria Cross and George Cross Association, and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Reunion Service in the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, followed by a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development at Mansion House, Walbrook, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, Invictus Games Foundation, this morning attended the Invictus Games at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning received Mr. Tian Guoli (Chairman, Bank of China).

His Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm, today received Admiral Sir Philip Jones (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning visited Ferrari Headquarters with World Fellows, Maranello, Modena, Italy.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner at Ferrari Headquarters.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Meningitis Now, this morning held a Meeting.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal today visited West Yorkshire and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Dr. Ingrid Roscoe).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, this morning visited Green Withens Water Sports Centre, Green Withens Reservoir, near Rishworth.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Midwives, later visited Bradford Birth Centre, Women’s and Newborn Unit, Bradford Royal Infirmary, Duckworth Road, Bradford.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new premises of Airedale International Air Conditioning Limited, Leeds Road, Rawdon.

The Princess Royal, President, Carers Trust, subsequently attended a Twentieth Anniversary Reception for Carers Leeds at Leeds Civic Hall, Calverley Street, Leeds.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner for the Jessica Bethell Charitable Foundation at York Racecourse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mr. Barry Dodd).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, today received Mr. Stephen Bridge upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive.

Professor John Wallwork (Chairman of the Board of Trustees) was present.

St. James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, today received Mr. Nigel Brown upon relinquishing his appointment as Grand Secretary.
