The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended events to commemorate the Centenary of the Battle of Jutland.
Her Royal Highness first visited Rosyth Parish Church and, having been received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mr. Robert Balfour), viewed a Battle of Jutland Exhibition.
The Princess Royal afterwards laid a wreath at the Cross of Sacrifice and viewed Commonwealth War Graves at South Queensferry Cemetery and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).
Her Royal Highness subsequently took the salute at Beat Retreat by the Royal Marines at Hawes Pier, South Queensferry, Edinburgh.
The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning attended the Grand Council Meeting at Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Headquarters, St. John Tower, 2 Macdonnell Road, Hong Kong.
His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong’s Annual Garden Party at the Hong Kong Cricket Club, 137 Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Hong Kong.
