The Lord Darzi of Denham, Professor Dame Ann Patricia Dowling and Sir James Dyson were received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Members of the Order of Merit.
The Lord Fellowes (Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit) was in attendance.
Dame Patricia Reddy (Governor-General designate of New Zealand) was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty invested her with Insignia of a Dame Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit and with the Insignia of a Companion of The Queen’s Service Order of New Zealand.
The Governor-General designate of New Zealand and Sir David Gascoigne remained to Luncheon with The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
